boat report 12/29 out of Bayside

I went on a charter yesterday out of Bayside. Good captain and mate. We had lots of pilchards and pins, but no takers.

Cold front shut everything off. Action was very slow.

Hours plumbing different wrecks and some power drifting (not enough wind for kites).

We got two amberjacks in four hours.

Had a few hits and some cut-offs...

I could only handle four hours of not catching. I've done 8 hour trolls in exotic places where you wanted to just jump overboard.

I have another trip next Saturday. I hope things improve.

Always is frustrating when you have great live baits and perfect conditions yet the fish don't chew.

Thanks for the report. Like they say, it's fishing not catching. I know the feeling but atleast you got something.

I'm jumping on another charter this saturday.

I figure friday, saturday and sunday will be peak.

we will emerge from this cold front on thursday, and then we have full moon on Monday.

That puts those three days in range
