I spent a couple hours at pompano pier on monday afternoon and caught 2 good macks and a very nice porgy, I knew that the fish were destined for the fryer, so here is my recipe to get absolutely...

now in South Florida with the cold water bringing in our annual run of bluefish we can easily catch some for shark bait or in this case dinner!! :mrgreen: here is my recipe for Asian style bluefish...

Looks good Chris.
Bleeding them makes them taste much better IMO, although i never gut them though.
I usually just make a cut at the gills and that gets them bleeding.

Smoked the Salmon for a few hours. Sprinkle some fish rub and it turned out great. Also, cooked some chicken w/ cheese sausages and spares.

Salmon is all that usually gets smoked in alaska, and been doing that for years up here. Now moving to vero beach and heard bludfish was good smoked. just curious if i would prepare the same.

after a long day at anglins with a couple decent fish a 15 inch jack crevalle and and a nice sized mojarra were in my cooler, originally I was going to use the jack as shark bait and had no intentions...

i catch these regulary and allways released them. but saturday i was on jekyll island pier and caught one and this guy came over and politely gave the what ever for not keeping the best tasting fish...

The normal sea catfish is also known as hardhead catfish. These guy taste like mud most of the time but in some months they taste really good. I don't remember which one. I toss the one I caught away...
