Tamiami Trail

Post by joenofishhere »

With what seems like our tenth straight weekend of poor weather coming up I was gonna make the drive out and throw some flies and jerkbaits along the trail between the Marco turnoff and 27. Anyone fished out there lately and had any success. Also has anyone fished tigertail beach lately I was thinking about heading all the way over there, but I usually don't fish there this time of year.

It was slow for the most part, but one bridge was absolutely covered with microsnook. Caught a bunch on spin and fly. Probably 8-16", some would be perfect for an aquarium (if that were legal). May hit up airport lakes one morning before work this week. Too many jetskis in there on the weekends from what I remember.
