DOA Question
I use DOAs a lot for trout and find that after a couple fish (sometimes just one) the plastic loses its grip on the hook and slides up the line. Pain in the butt. I use super glue which I guess helps a little but not totally. Anybody have any magic solution for making the plastic shrimp stay put on the hook?

Re: DOA Question
I have seen people use a short piece of wire and twist it on the eye of the hook to form a v-shape. Then bend the 2 end of the wire slightly and insert it to the shrimp head. It usually stays on the hook during casting.
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Re: DOA Question
Sounds like the size hook you are using is too small. I use the jerk baits and have to use a 4/0 wide gap offset hook to keep that from happening. The shad tails I haven't had this issue when using a jig head. If just using the body put a small splitshot in front of the nose and it will give a little weight and make it appear as a fish eating with it's head down if you use it as a jig.
