Personal Best Boat Record!

Post by GET THE NET!!!! »

Went out on the boat last night to the inlet and had an epic night. We brought my friend Brendon to tag along with us and also see how his new rod would handle inlet bruisers. After about a million trials and tribulations we finally got in the water at around 7:30 and fished till 10:30. There was an extreme west wind last night and made it very hard to fish. The cold, rain, and wind sure as hell didnt bother the fish though as we had constant action the entire time we were there. I wound up catching 7 snook, my dad got 9, and Brendon got 2! A total of 18 snook, which is our boat record for one night. Most of the fish were under slot but we managed to get about 6-7 fish that made slot size. Oh yea and there were tarpon stacked up in the shadow line just crushin shrimp but I could barely cast to them with a 30 mph west wind. I ended up jumping 2 poons though, nice ones. Heres the 2 pics I have of slot size fish.(didnt wanna take pics cause the bite was so hot!) :happyfisherman:

Nice job on the snook. :thumright:

Excellent work. Good to see there's still some healthy fat mommas out there.

Ohh that sounds pretty slow for the pomp king. I would have fished the pier this weekend but I didn't like the weather conditions. Does the water have color? (Besides it being blue) :uplol:
