Snapper and macks they are good bait but not very durable for bottom fishing better for flatlining in a chum slick.

I agree, you will go through alot on the bottom, but sometimes they are just the ticket !

I used em for the first time when I was down on vacation from Anglins Pier. I caught a lot of Snapper while using em. As others have mentioned though the bait stealing to actual hook up ratio is pretty high.

they've worked for me with yellowtails,macks, and snapper...i try to keep them on cold/hot intervals so they stay compact but not frozen hard
