The fishing looks like it's turning around.

I netted some bait (pins, and finger mullet) on Sat., for an early Sun. Yak fishing trip, in hopes of getting a shark (and anything else). Here it is all rigged up and ready to go:

I was AMAZED that I caught anything, as I have gotten skunked more times than not lately, and was about to give up all hope of catching fish in these waters.
Lots of these:

The biggest Ladyfish I've ever seen:

A few baby gwoopas:

One of these (Blk Seabass?):

And one Bluefish:

And finally:

Just kidding, here's my 1st from a Yak, he's about 4.5ft long:

Another shot:

I was a little FREAKED OUT as the line pealed off, and then again when I thought he was done, and took off again. What-a-rush!

I hooked 5 Kings tonight, boated 3, and harvested that 1 in the picture.
All caught on a silver bomber, and crock spoons with 38# trace, with 15lb braid or 12lb mono.
Maybe it's not too early for Kings here:

fla-Mingo :)

It looked like a place I have launched from there a few times, but not too sure. the pic with the big liner in the background threw me though, so maybe not.

Where was that Mud Flat anyway?
