Thousand Islands / Flying Snake

Post by onshore »

We fished the Thousand Islands area of the Banana River out of Cocoa this morning with our kayaks. Each of us took several nice Redfish to 6 lbs. on Brown Muddlers and Yellow/White clouser.

Both Snook and Trout are becoming more active but those we released were below legal size.

I saw my first Anhinga out of water this morning - amazing bird. Has no oil in it's feathers so when swimming only its neck and head is out of water and it looks like a snake with a beak. Here's a pix of one out of water and another swimming with a small fish it just caught.
