making custom rods

We have a good many rod builders here and also those with much to offer about reels, so if you need help with Rods-Reels- or Wrapping do it here

Im looking to start building all of my own custom rods. I noticed that some of you guys build your own rods, some even have their own shops. Just wondering how hard is it to make them? Is there anyone willing to help me build one? Maybe i could visit your shop and see it done in person? I just want to know whats all involved in the building process. Thanks James

i used to help my grandfather build rods. I am also wanting to start building ive found some useful stuff on mudhole.com i think is the name of the site good luck.

hi-i have been building for rods over 10 years. im always willing to help people get started. your even welcome to come by the house and watch me make a few rods from start to finish. although i am now a full time law student i had my own custom rod business for a few years.

and yes its addictive. there are alot of myths out there about equipment necessary and teres is also alot of junk out there. ill be happy to help in anyway i can

How do you make rods?? I have an awesome custom idea but i dont know how to make rods to start off with.

If any rod maker sells his rods, and will give me a cut in the money ill give you my idea :o

ans-i wish there was a simple answer to this one, but there are hundreds of books on the market to answer that exact question and to answer it here would most likely take all day 8)
