Just curious.
I did bimini twist on my 40 LB braid (but I didn't think bimini would work on braid.)
Well, today, I had a good result when I had to cut off the line by force.
Main line up to bimini twist was ok.

Have anyone tried Bimini twist on braid line?

I do it all the time,, sop bimini in about last 6 feet of braid, uni-uni doubled line to fluro or mono leader. Use 10/15/20/30# braids to 15/20/25/40# leader.
When I need to cut and retie a new leader I cut the line on the side of the leader leaving the uni-uni knot and either tie a simple half-hitch or leave the know while tying a new leader.. trim up close when done..
works great and don't remember ever loosing a fish or breaking the line off anywhere near the uni-uni or the bimini

Lol. Braid is easier to tie a bimini. I tie a 50 turn bimini with braid and attach mono leader using a yucatan knot. anything less than 30 turns with slick braid may slip.

Re: Have anyone tried Bimini twist on braid line?
Thanks guys.
I was wondering because braid has no line stretching so it can't create line twist.
Maybe, 50 turns may make twist action? Didn't try that many.
I was always under impression that bimini twist gets far stronger as line stretches out when a big fish fights.
Without stretching spring action in braid, it may not be too different from simple loop knot.
But who cares, it seems working fine. I didn't lose main line.
