Rippys has an expert rod and reel repairman who lives minutes from the store. He told me,"If I cant match a thread on a rod then they never made the thread" as he has thousands of thread spools on hand. As he lives close the turnaround is fast. In many cases when a reel is left for an estimate he will dissassemble it in my shop and give a very close price as to what the repair will cost. He was already repared a number or rods and reels for the shop and I and my customers have been happy with the time, cost and quailty of his repairs.
