They missed the epic photo of me on top of a massive hammer, but they did get my best side removing the hook.

The rod goes off and slowly line peels off the spool and Ineedabonita picks up the rod and gives the bad boy time to eat. All of the sudden the line goes slack and Ineedabonita is pissed. So he reels the 12/0 to pick up the slack and he feels nothing. He holds the rod for about another minute to get a sense of the situation. He feels some vibration in the braid, reels in the slack and hits the shark hard with the running man.
Then a slow steady release of line with an uptick of speed from time to time, when the Hammer makes a hard thrash of his tail. Ineedabonita putts on the full harness and goes hands free for a rest and used his body weight. Then he bows to the monster and pumps the handle of the 12/0 as if he is doing upright rows with a 100lb dumbbell.

Ineedabonita forgets all his fishing techniques in the excitement of the moment and he manhandles the rod and reel and brings in all but 75 yards of line and then the fish takes off. Being the sport he is he gives the rod to his buddy Carl (C Money 7) and here we go again.

I have videos and will work on getting them uploaded.
The hammer measured 11 foot 5 inches however it was probably 11 foot and 8 inches. A careful review of the enlarged photo shows that the tape was not to the hammers head. The tape measure was only 12ft and we could not get all the tape out.

The monster head was always kept in the water with waves washing over him. He was revived pretty quickly and swam off to tell his friend of the fury on the beach.

I left the beach after cooling down and evidently Carl and Dave landed a Tiger. I have NO COMMENT since I'm upset that I left a bit to early at 3:00am and they landed a Tiger. Carl will have to put up pics and comment.
