Thanks for sharing.
Can't see why they wouldn't. In general, Sharks will hit almost anything in a frenzy. Be a heck of a workout for a popping rod.ikaika wrote:They are blasting a school of Menhaden aka "bunkers".crashmister wrote:Calling BS!! I would love to see if they'd hit a pencil popper...
That looks like what we call a "smooth dogfish" in that pic. rather than a brown or dusky, goodolmikey wrote:My brother owns a motel in seaside heights and was down there for the blitz,,

That would be me. Here's the background on the video. It was shot by a friend of mine named Tom Lynch and was shot on August 16th. It was shot on Island Beach State Park located south of Seaside Park, NJ. The fish attack started a 1/4 mile off the beach and got, I'm told, at one point to 50 yards from land. It's amazing footage. The water temperature has been high this summer leading to all kinds of bait in the water. Croakers, Spot, Bluefish, Snappers (juvenile Bluefish), etc... Plenty of fishermen witnessed this sight. Luckilly it was not near the bathing beaches.goodolmikey wrote:My brother owns a motel in seaside heights and was down there for the blitz,,
