My question is, what else are these large sand perches good for catching, and what's the best way to rig them?

Large Sand Perch
I've been catching a good amout of large sand perches off the beach lately, about 9 - 12 inches. On Friday I used one for bait to see what would happen and I happened to land a monster Tarpon. I did not get to bring him in all the way to beach however. He got off shortly after he made a big leap into the air about 75 yards from the beach.
My question is, what else are these large sand perches good for catching, and what's the best way to rig them?

Theres an afully long list of things you can catch with those in the right situations.Heres a few I think would hit them: Cobia,Sharks,Snook,As you said Tarpon and Grouper if there around.
And hooking them you did it right in your pic you may want to cut off the tail it makes it easier to reel in.You can also hook them in the head.Put the hook in there mouth and come out the top of the head.
