....first of all ...Happy Thanksgiving from Rhode Island...

...it's up to 33 degrees already so this gives you an idea of why I've been poking around your site..

...the other reason is that the wife and I have a jaunt coming in the second week of Feb and I am planning on spending a bunch of time on Miramar Beach in Destin with the fly rod...

...I've been reading a number of threads but really haven't discovered any threads as what to expect to find in the troughs at that time of year...

...this has been a horrific year for stripers and blues along our shore line this season ...so I'm hoping that my 2014 excursions will start off on a high note...

...so if anyone happens to see some old white haired guy working a fly rod along said beach... please don't call the men in the white coats...it's only me...

You will find some incredible members on this forum. I would start reading all threads here just to get the lay of the land and start asking some specific questions a couple of weeks out. Just remember the really serious members here expect to receive information if you are going to ask for it. That's the way it should work right?
