You might want to try CB Smith park in Pembroke Pines. There are some big bass in those lakes. If you want big bass, you will need to use big baits.

I have not fished there in a couple of years, been more into the salt lately. The last time I fished CB Smith however, I caught a six pound bass on large skinners.

wow i guess ill be heading to C B Smith Park soon lol. is there a specific lake in the park? since there is always one lake that has the best fishing... I went to Amelia Earhart Park but that thing has 5 lakes in it and its too hot to walk all of them so i really havent explored it but i will again. i usually fish a canal in the Everglades that is about 4 -7 mile long and let me tell you that there are plenty of fish there. the biggest i caught there was a 2.7 pounder (not big ) and the further u go the bigger they get. Texas rigged, weedless on a havoc pit boss or baby brush hog is the potion.. i also fished the north lake of tropical park at around 7 am after work and managed to bring in a decent LMB.

Vista view park off griffin holds some pretty big bass. Right under the dock or pier there are plenty of small bream, use those for bait.

Pretty much anywhere you find bass there should be larger ones also. 5 pounds is not the hard, but 10 is tough. Start by using larger baits wether is artificial or natural. If you want big fish you need to use big baits, you'll catch a lot less fish but more quality fish.

If it was easy to catch 10 pound fish the state would not have Big Fish citations and you'd see them caught and targeted by tournament fishermen. Go to the local rams at tournament check in time and most fish weighed in are in the 5 pound average size, and thats by professionals.

Keep talking Miguelito. You are definitely a fun read on a bunch of topics
