Holy crud... Lakewood Ranch - Sarasota

Post by Bluefish in ny »

Went for a jog after my morning flats fishing trip..... Ran past a few BIG lakes in the area, talked to some cool dude.. for about 30 minutes... Got some good intel.. .and just jogging and looking in the drink..... Saw well over 100 largemouth, and some big girls..... Deep/clear/weedy.... Looks very promising... its only 2 blocks away.... Only thing is... when you have Sarasota Bay - 8.2 miles from your home.... Its hard to target largies - when you got reds in your yard

There is a fine line between Love & Hate.Hate is pushing them off a ledge. Loving them means you don't taunt them after you've pushed them off.

Bluefish you're in my neck of the woods. Lakewood ranch has it's own Bass fishing club. I've done a seminar on exotic species fishing around the world for them. Nice group of people. Red Baily is the main guy over there. On the saltwater side it is definately TARPON time!!!!!!

Salt definately gets the nod....

Sweet... Bionic where are you exactly? I have not tossed in fresh yet.... I plan on it everyday, but my car seems to navigate me toward the Bay
