anyone been fishing

ive been kayakin around biscayne bay by black point and have been seeing anything but dead sand perch few jacks and sting rays after all that i gave up south now iam lookin to go some wut north i fished some of north biscayne bay. seen a few tarpon hooked up on a couple of snook to no luck. iam thinkin about fishin dock lights from my kayak anyone got ideas or just words of a advise for a first time night adventer on a kayak

yeah thats normally my area for fishing, but since the freeze the action has been terrible. Chicken key, and black point are D-e-a-d! From what i have heard mingo seems to be dead too. Maybe head south of bill baggs and fish the finger channels by stiltsville. I have a canoe, so i dont venture out there, but with a decent ocean kayak it could be worth a shot.
