I'm trying to find a place to buy wood for smoking: Apple, Cherry, and Oak. I can use chunks or make my own chunks out of logs.
Anyone have any ideas?

we have jets outdoor down here that carries them. up your way really not sure but you could start with all the guys that specialize in bbqs

Any supermarket will have chips - Wal Mart, Home Depot will have chips and chunks....
Wish I had a pal in the Landscaping biz....I have a ton of oak trees, but no chipper........

Go to BBQ Glore located in Plantation. They carry a full assortment of chunk wood in apple, pecan, and etc... They also have lump coal also. They also have a great selection of rubs and sauce.

The only problem from buying wood from landscape guys is the wood is green. Green wood produce a nasty smolder smoke not great for smoking or cooking. I learn this the hardway.
