Line for Noodle Rod

Haven't been able to fish beach cause of Noel's surf/winds which should back off by Sunday or Monday. I've spend my non-fishing time converting a 10' fly rod to a 10.5' Noodle rod for Pompano jiggingt.

Now, what would you recommend for line ?

Mono lb. Test ? or
braid lb. test ?

Appreciate your input.

Mono 8lb or 10lb IMO
