REEL CORROSION REMOVER

Post by SnookWizzard »

After 20 some years of restoring old reels, I finally have a few solutions for removing ALL Corrosion from any parts disasembled & able to be submerged.....With nothing but a toothbrush after 1 day's soaking you will be down to bare metal...No Wire Brushes, NO SCRATCHES, NO removing ANYTHING but CORROSION & SALT BUILDUP.....Bakelite sideplates cleaned & polished...Reel internals proffessionaly cleaned Ultrasonically until spotless....Dissasemble it yourself or my labor... PM me for details :D . . . .I guarantee you cannot get it any cleaner than ultrasonic...It's what watchmakers use for precision multi-thousand dollar watch internals...SW. . . . . . . .ALSO: . . Broken Skinny Graphite rod ends repaired with an alloy internal insert, not just a FATTER TIP on a shorter rod....

What a great idea. Back when I Was 19, I worked at an "eyelab" in NJ surfacing and cutting Lenses and fitting them to frames. I used to clean my watches and jewelery in the ultrasound they had there for cleaning frames of the customers buying lenses. Man, that ultrasound took EVERYTHING off. I would LOVE to have one for the house !!! where didyou find one? Was it hugely $$?
