New to forum- Bridge shark fishing advice(Big Pine area)

Post by SpearnFish »

Hey guys- I posted this in the keys section but Boatlessfishermen said I should post here -but Ive recently started reading the forum and I think there is some good information passed on here... anyways, im heading to the keys(big pine area) this weekend (24-26) to get some lobster since its the last weekend, but i would like to fish for sharks off the bridges at night. Im a fairly novice shark fishermen since I dont do it very often so im looking for some advice on what bridge would be best in the Big Pine area to fish. I know there are big sharks under bahia honda bc i see them diving, but there is no fishing pier. Ive got some bluefish in the freezer that I might cut and use.. will that work? or what would be best for 4-6 fters, Any info on what bridge would be best in the area would be great. Thanks in advance...

P.s Ill be happy to pass on any information fishing around the boca area

A good bridge to fish for sharks close to big pine Niles channel, just south of big pine. I have fished it many times and have caught up to a 12 foot hammer there on a big barracuda. There is alot of lemon sharks blacktips and bulls there. The blue fish will be good bait, just hope you got the right tackle. Any other ? just post.

Stainless + saltwater maybe one year if the shark doesn't shed it out first. Chris what hook do you use?
