I wouldn't bother buying it. Its much better to just align by hand. You can always tweak guides after they have been wrapped.

the twister guides/2nd link usually rust fairly quickly.

with the labor involved in removing everything to save the blank, stripping the finish off etc,....you can almost build a NEW rod for the same money, with a better blank. . .Just try to save the old...

If you're restoring an old rod with a quality chrome/brass seat,a heat gun will sometimes work if the seat is not in contact with the blank ( taped or cork under the seat)...you can damage the blank...

I did this awhile ago for one of the other fishing sited i frequent and figured the new thread was a perfect place to put it up cause its a pretty cool project....

the reel i used was an el cheapo...

yea but it has to have a aluminum spool in order for the laws of physics to take effect :D :twisted:

Its crazy the amount of brakes you can put on a reel with magnets....i had this one to the point...

Ok now once you have put ur handle together ur gunna wanna decide which style buttwrap you wanna go with. It simple learning these different styles, I just used a pencil and would wrap and rewrap...

Well im buildin a calstar grafighter for my international 16VS and id figured id share it with you......just finished up the handle and the buttwrap...the color combo is olive green and gold :D :D...

this event is not in Florida- didn't know where to post this. *shrugs*

That show/expo is huge. Pricing on materials is under dealer cost I bet on most items. On the last day of the show i bet there will be steals on certian items. Tickets are only 8$ but its in North...

Whats the differance between a 3/0 accurate and a jigmaster 500 are the side plates in the 500 and the 112h the same what about the frame

How good is the drag on a Shimano Baitrunner 4500? I'm thinking of getting that to replace my salmon reel...

my baitrunner is amazing the bail snapped off :roll:

i heard this happening to the newer ones..

as for the size the best you could do is take the rod with you and size it up.

Im sure there has to be a way just thought i would ask before i tried myself.

I want to shave the grips on one to make more narrow. Can this be...
