The beaches are closed due to thousands of Black Tips, Bulls, and Spinners - anyone brought in any big dogs yet? :reeling:

...and Black Tip meat is really that good? :chef:

ok its official, i'm going to the east coast next time I go out! time to go visit my sister over in lauderdale! as for the west coast, the fishing here has been garbage lately.

went to the beach with my brother kevin.the pompano have thinned out, the commercial guy next to me caught 1 small pomp. we caught a bunch of bluefish and 2 fat tips.

me and sean went out and got 28 mackeral, 10 bluefish, and 6 jacks.

1/20
went out yesterday with bryan and adam and got 2 blacktips,14 pompano,2 whiting, around 10 bluefish, and some jacks....

got to the beach at 2 and fished until it got dark. we caught 7 blacktips, 18 bluefish, and a couple of jacks.

Haven't been getting a darn thing out there, but atleast not seeing too many dead fish floating around. Haven't really even tried very much this year to get out because of the weather, but it looks...

Caught on a penn 209 (the sharks and tarpon always ignore my avet lx or my newell 540 and go for the reel with less line capacity, lol)and was brought to shore in about half an hour and did well after...

MXL's can cast really far...I have caught blacktips from the beach to well over 100lbs on the MXL with straight 20lb mono (and a 15ft windon of 60lb for abrasion resistance).

just came back from cayo costa island near captiva. caught ladyfish for bait and some bluefish, and caught 2 sandbar sharks in two days. 6ft and 7ft. would have caught more if there werent so many...

yeah, the cold weather and high surf have kept me away as well

anyways iwantsharks nice work on that 7 foot sandbar..sandbars don't really get too much bigger than that from what i've heard.
