But that's because they have to contend with the great whites down under
Any way all, heading out to Anglins for a few hours fishing just before sunup. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Chads spanish mackeral was caught on trolly rig with a live gog. It was 9 lbs. for sure. That was about all the excitement for Saturday morning. Saw a handful of others macs and one pompano. That was pretty much it from 6:00 a.m. till 10:00 am when I left. Water looked good but not much bait around.

was out there yesterdAY and chad got a nine pound spanish, n some kid missed about 4 or 5 big macks that came up on his trolly. otherwise a pretty slow day and had some gogs and hoos

Went out to Anglins this morning @ 6:15am, with one of my Daughters and dDratler and his younger brother.
I caught 1 pompano, ddratler caught 3 pomanos and a croaker, his brother caught 1 pompano and 1 croaker. There was a couple there who seemed to be pulling them pompanos out of the water 1 after the other. Was that you rob762? Because if so, I feel even more stupid about trying to give you advice on how to handle a pompano. Especially considering that I had just learned that trick about 1/2 hour before on my first ever pompano catch.
I tried a gotcha a whole bunch of times to no avail, and a sabiki rig tipped with shrimp, alas, no bites or even nibbles.
Peter from Jersey was there, and taught me how to make a pompano rig. No need to buy any more. Thanks Peter.

Was out there only short time, but was worth it. Nothing for a while, not even bait, but then the Macks came in at
around 12:00 at the T. Even so I didn't catch one, everybody else did next to me, it was awesome to watch them attack the jigs.
A lot of excitment, bunch of macks beeing caught and also plenty of Pomps. Good day at Anglins and then good day watching football.
What more can you ask for.

Nice catch guys! My buddy was surfing a short distance down the beach and said he he must of seen 50 pomps caught. Plenty of doubles coming over rail.
Can you commercial fish off the pier? I have heard you can but just not sure.
He was going to go and limit out quickly but a call from a friend with extra tickets to the dolphins game and bailed.
Looks like the bite was red hot. He should of stopped and fished for 30 minutes. 3 quick doubles and he would of only missed 10 minutes of the game.

Commercial fishing is prohibited at Anglins per the signs at the bait shack.

waymond caught a squid at deerfield friday night. it was longer and thinner than rickys and a very pale pink.

i went bak out sunday ther was no bait . and there was some pomps caught and 2 or 3 macks bt around 12-1:30 it was on fire at the T wit macks i got 6 tj go 2 and if ya know ben he got 4

fished anglins from 2 pm to 5 pm and fishing was slow for everyone. caught and released 11 inch mutton and one 3 pound rabbit puffer. light east wind and water was clearing up. when i got to the pier saw someone with three nice macks in a bucket leaving and heard the bite was good in the morning when it was breezy. now we need the wind back
