Went out at Oakland Park for the last two days. First day took home a hind and missed an opportunity on a school master. Second day took my first Hog of the season (I was starting to think the water was too cold for them right now). Missed opportunities on yellow tail, Spanish Mack, and a school master. I also passed up a 12-14" marbled grouper and a bunch of small lanes. I have a small speargun, so it seems to be a real challenge to get a sized yellow tail. I have taken a lot of shots that were dead on, but lacked the distance...
Water clarity was ok 1st day, second day was overcast and limited vis.

Nice report , I have a feeling that this summer you speargunners will have some great reports to share.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Not the finger trick, but I scratch the sand and the same thing happens. The sand scratch also seems to bring out lobster when they are deep in a rock.
