Doh!
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Re: Bonefish and flats
my dream fish of catching is a bonefish. so i've pretty much looked up every tactic there is on getting a bonefish. i heard with a spining reel small plastic shads, or even live shrimp; and one other place said even small white bucktails will work
for the fly fisherman many diffrent flies
The best bonefish flies generally look like the tasty morsels that the fish suck in as they root around in the mud or sand, looking for small fish and crustaceans. Generally, these fish are not too selective, but at times, there are only a few flies that bonefish will gladly engulf. At times when the fish are selective, they are usually easily frightened, and will be startled by a brightly colored fly that does not match the color of the bottom.

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad.

Re: Bonefish and flats
I am guessing you are in some sorta boat so I will explain it this way. The easiest most effective way in my honest opinion is to get backbone jig live shrimp throw it out their and let it sit in the bottom. Next is where to do this at now the keys is a great place to start just about any flat you see holds bone's at any given time just finding that time is the trick to the whole deal of landing one. Take the day scout around look for an active flat's sting rays turtles ect. Tides are the biggest deal when it comes to bone fishing oh and when you set up shop have a cum bag handy and chop up some fresh shrimp trust me you will have the bones lined up in no time when you get it right.

"cum bag" lol.
Anyways I've caught them from my kayak on the west side of South Biscayne Bay using live shrimp. I prefer to start towards the end of an outgoing tide and work about half way through the incoming, but I've seen them active on different tides.
