oh and that guy the reporter he has been trashing every tarpon kill tournament. thats what i've heared and he turns everything around to make them look bad and what would you do if a novice angler came and started messing around casting over your gear getting caught in it and making you lose a tournament winning fish.

I certainly wouldnt be a tool and run him off the pier. Not knocking you, the pier or the tourny, I just hate the people who think they own a spot on the pier just because they have better gear and more experience. We are all learning how to fish, even if we have been doing it for years. Sounds like people just need to chill and fish out there!

As for tarpon kills, if you have the tags, then you have the right to keep your catch. I have no problem with it as long as it follows the current regs.

That is a nice snook, great job.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Good for you Chank. Nice snook and reds.

Re: the poon tourney-What's the purpose in the kill? To be able to weigh and measure the fish? They have the right, with tags. We have the right to consider it bush league to kill it and toss it in the dumpster. That kind of tourney is fading into the past.
Wanna go fishin?
We ain't left yet?

was out there last sunday 9/28. I didn't catch anything worth talking about (bunch of small jacks and a small grouper) But I saw a few nice size Flounder caught and this nice 30" red that the kid with the black shirt caught.
