My friends was there a week ago and they caught around 40 lady fish. They also heard from the local there that they were getting their limit of grouper but the day my friend was there they didn't catch any.

got to fish there from 7pm-9pm saturday tryin to find some action on an outgoing tide, but sorry to say, there's not much to report. one dude caught a little trout, and that's about it. didn't see anything feeding or anyone catching anything else. ballyhoo are abundant there, which is what i used as bait (live for me and cut for my daughter), but nothing was taking it.

report 1/5/2012
6am - 12pm SSP at the end

Only 1 person caught 3 bonito when I was there. It was off of a white spoon casting toward the shipping channel. There's a bunch of small bluerunner and Spain Macks. The usual white bait was all over the place as well.

Was there Saturday. Total catch from everyone at the end is about 11 bonito and a few macks. Most of the catch was before I got there. Also most of it was catch with greenback. Some was with spoon.

The bonito did catch someone fishing pole so the score is now 11 - 1! :-p

GF and I spent the day working the rocks by the toll booth. We had a great day catching flounder, grovers, sheepehead, and macks. The only problem was that everything was undersize!! Reckon the cold water temp caused everything to shrink. Was a great day of fishing and just enough catching to satisfy " the need". GF had a blast and I only had to clean one mack for lunch. :happyfisherman:

Great that you two caught some fishes. I caught a few keeper sheepheads on the west side of rocks just outside of tollbooth. They all bited just the fiddle crab but nothing else. Were you at the same place? What baits were you using?

Well last 3weeks at south pier has been some of the best fishing for me. Every night I get at least 1 nice trout and at least 2 Blacktip sharks biggest I have landed is 2feet. Using different rod and reels with same results. Pin fish cut up or any small bait fish cut up. But wish I could get some mackrel or spotted trout of size to keep or even a bigger blacktip worth keeping. I normally go around 10pm till 2-3am

First visit to the bridge, Im from Ft Lauderdale. Tons of bait right now. Lots of macs thats about it. I did catch and released a 20" gag grouper. People around me were talking spanish on how they would have kept it. My wife is Chinese and speaks fluent spanish so I got the full translation... LOL..

Fishe south side skyway on the 23, an the 24. Hooked 6 of the big silver fish all small about 80lbs on the 23, the 24th hooked only 2. The only difference was I fished the outgoing on te 23rd and the incoming on the 24th. I also don't use live bait.

Its perfect bro, very nice haul! I love this kind of weather... My spots are still cool down south, but they should be heating up a few days after this cold front brings them all in!
