Catfish (especially large) in Palm Beach County?

Post by firetiger »

While the Bass bite is a little slow I thought I might target some big cats. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I might find some big cats in Palm Beach county? Thanks in advance. Tight lines to all. (tommy

If you can find a little current from the gates being open, fish the bridges in lake Osborne area that open up to areas near a lot of under brush and you'll have decent luck..(google maps) As far as big goes it'll be 6-7lbs at best. Get a bunch of live blue gills hack them babies up or even live small ones on a fish finder rig and you might even end up with a few largemouth along with the cats. Grab a couple cans of cat food and throw the filthy food way upcurrent from where you're set up and it'll help bring them in if they're around. If you dont smell like a dirty hooker on a good night of work by the time you're done, you're not doing it right. On occasion, largemouth will also eat cut bait on bottom*
