Two days of Trout Keeper season, 7 per day limit. Caught 6 first day, then 4 second day, let some go in between.
Had great fun with my son and wife, Had them tag along. Second day was a bit rainy, but Day 1 was perfect!. Day 2 was even better! got less fish, but bigger.

Yeah, I got these on 4# with small split shot and immitation crawfish without the claws, I ripped off the claws, makes it look more like a big Mud worm or Hellgramite, These trout rather eat that. I got tired of using the crawfish pattern to no avail, as soon as I took(ripped) the claws off, I got the big ones.. yeah, these are rainbows, one brown and one brook trout. That's what is mostly abundant here. You'll have a fun time when you come visit us.

did you filet those????? I'll tell ya what i do with trout, i cut there heads off slit their belly, and then scrape what very few scales they have off.. then I just leave the carcass together and fry or bake the fish as a whole, the skin helps hold the flesh together and gives it better taste........
