I am up for a promotion at work that will require me to move from the west coast of FL to Savannah. So my question is how is the fishing up there. I know it is on the water but that is about all I know. I have never been there. Any advise?
Thanks

cross
the fishing up here is a little slower than in sw fl , but there fish up here , if you look up thunderbolt river and skidaway , there reds , trout, whiteing , flounder , sheepheads , black drum , and a few others here to be caught . just take you time and find the best spot for you , and if you get live shrimp up here there not sold by the dozen there sold by the pint or quart , depending on where you get them they range from about 13 to 16 dollars a quart .

Re: savannah fishing
I just spent 3 nights in the downtown Savannah historic district, very cool city with lots to do. There is tons of water everywhere, I'm not sure how many spots there are to access without a boat though. We went to Tybee Island (about 20 minutes away) for a day, there is a pier there, they were catching some sheepsheads, small redfish and whiting from it. You can also probably surf fish there, the beach was packed when we were there with swimmers. If you have a skiff, there is a TON of water to fish.
If you like seafood, there is so much good seafood and it is cheap...oysters, shrimp, crabs, flounder, etc, etc. We ate seafood every night we were there.
