RIP Gus

Post by fishnfool73 »

For the few old time Boatless guys around we lost Gus Mata today. Great guy always quick with a smile and a story. Always a guy it felt like you just talked to yesterday even if it had been years.
Dreaming the dream that one day I can be as good as some of the boatless pros and catch some 12 inch mangrove snapper.

Yep, that's horrible. Gus was a great guy, he was big into helping run the old shark tournaments on here, years and years ago. Way too young...RIP Gus.

Don't know him, or don't remember him, but we are losing a lot of people this year. :shaking:  :(

We had a couple of trips together with the old boatless crew on the Florida Fishfinder, so many laughs to count, including Gus fishing for big muttons on a 2' ice fishing spring rod! Rip buddy, you'll be greatly missed :(
