C-14 Report

Post by cvstrat »

The first time I went to the C-14 around Pine Island or so I whacked a fair amount of snakeheads on a green spro frog. I probably had about 9 hits in about a mile stretch. Anyway I never have seen them like that since but I've went back periodically to try.

I haven't had anything hit the frog since. Maybe the cold slowed em down.

Anyway I went for largemouth tonight. Started at the bridge at university and worked my way east. Got one on a lucky craft sammy off the bridge. Switched before dark to the frog and nothing would even look. I spooked a fish that were dead on the bank as I walked up. Judging by the swirls I could see as I approached I'm guessing snakehads. One was so big it scared the poop out of me with a huge splash.

Eventually switched back to another color sammy and about 15 casts later nabbed a largie about twice the size of the first. I'd say 3lbs. Not real big but fun anyway. I'll probably hit it up tomorrow after work as well just to go
