I still have a feeling that the county/city councils will push forward with the ban and not give a hoot about anyone Else's feelings toward surf/shark fishing especially if he or she is apart(separated) from the community.

to them.... the beach side retired citizens of IR are way more important than all outsiders.
its there turf(or that's what they think) and if they don't like what they see then they will obviously do whatever it takes to get rid of the problem.

IMO, by banning most water activities and etc they are preventing a certain class of people(mostly the youth though) from coming to the beaches. that's why they( the home and condominium owners) complain about everything so there own age groups can thrive and not the younger adults/teenagers. yes, that would benefit them a lot and they believe it WILL prevent crime and vandalism from happening.



so really this mess isn't just about fishing.... its about the rest of the water activities, basically the young vs the old.

but hopefully they will have a loss and the shore-bound fishermen will have a gain.
i am a Floridian so them folks on the beach should suck up to my activity or
flock back to the north.

Yeah exactly what I thought about that sign. It should say "No Fun Zone, if you suck and are boring then this is the place for you."
