Don't do drugs!

Or you'll have a flybox full of crap like this. I'm pretty sure this would scare the hell out of just about any redfish/drum in my area.

That must been some awesome LSD the doctor gave you after your surgury(sp)?
The Judge asked the prostitute, "At what point did you realize you were raped?"
The prostitute replied (wiping away tears), "When the check bounced."

Actually the LSD was mine, Doc hooked me up with the Lortab. For whatever reason the dope I got keeps me awake. I would say that pattern was inspired by sleep deprevation more than the narcotics.

I found out that Redfish are not too picky when it comes to fly patterns. As long it has the silhouette of a prey they will pounce on it. When I used to fish Flamingo a lot most colors I used were brunt orange, tan, brown, and black.

I trimmed it down to more of a mantis shrimp type profile, it casts like a dish rag. I caught all my fish on #4 shrimp patterns. They were tailing and acting all stupid on the flats today, it was kinda nice.

Nice. Do you like using rabbit strips? That was one of my favorite material.

Awesome! I use alot of arctic fox, polar bear, and various synthetics. For dubbing materials I use either SLF/EP shrimp dub or Ice dub. Not alot of rabbit this time of year, but I fish alot of double bunnies for jetty snook in the spring.

Thanks. I used to buy the whole rabbit hide and high quailty deerhair in big patches. My friend and I used to drift our flies in the current a lot for the tarpons during the shrimp runs out here in Miami. Tan rabbit strips tied Keys tarpon style. Those tarpon also come out of the shadowlines at night and slurp the flies.
