Fishing Reports True or False

Post by BoatlessFisherman »

This site is getting alot of hits from people who are not registered users and is doing over 10000 views a day and growing rapidly so people are reading what you say, so this post is to clarify and make aware to you the importance of accurate fishing reports.

I am not going to second quess or remove a report unless I know that it is truly Bogus nor am I going to believe every report completely.

After reading this please give your comments so we know how everyone feels about this issue and if anyone has an idea that would help let's hear about it.

But with that said, many of you know who I am and many know that I work or worked at a pier (Anglin) and have spent many hours on a pier Fishing and working and if you fish piers then you know that 5 minutes can make all the difference.
I have seen days of zero fish and all of a sudden bang the water lights up and for 45 minutes you can't put your rod in the water with out it getting hit, so what happens at one time in the day does not mean it did not happen, but I suggest that we all take reports as pointers and not exact fact.

If you question a report please post to that post and respectfully question it with the writer of that report. Please, writers of reports answer them back in a respectful way. No one means to offend but they may just have a hard time believing that someone other than themselves caught a fish.

Lets start fresh from here

I want everyone to know, Thanks for being a part of this site.
I did this post to assure everyone that intregity is a part of this site and that I read and take what everyone says serous and this is not directed at anyone.

When writing reports if it is your knowledge put it. Perferred for fishing reports
If it is hear say from someone else put it, that will help the readers to make there own mind up.
Also keep in mind when posting something someone has told you even the attendants of the piers"you have some good and some bad" that they can sometimes be full of it so you may get flack.

If you question it express yourself in that post " RESPECTFULLY ", this is what will keep it to a good degree honest because the members will know as time moves on that we all really fish these places and it is nuts to just add something for the sake of it.

As for pics they do add creditiblity, but I am the worst for taken pics, I always have a camera and have very few pics, because I am there fishing not sightseeing, only reason I took pics lately honestly was because A few family Members had been wanting to see some pics via email and bugged the piss out of me so I took some and also I posted here in the forum, I would like to think that we all are honest and report the truth and I believe we do.

Yes Anglins does have its poleroid, but they will not be open until Spring, that is another post. I believe juno has a camera also or they did, I don't know if Pompano or Deerfield has something.

So I think the pics give creditibility but they are not necessary once we know each other as time moves on
