two scorpionfish recipes

Thats crazy, I never in a thousand years would have thought to eat a scorpionfish. We catch them in the Keys occaisonally, next time I'll keep it to try.

I know it would have sounded weird, if you want to keep it just be sure to catch a fish 15"-16" or bigger to have some decent fillets, they have such a huge f***in' head (but sooo flavored)

Next Scorp goes in the cooler for sure ! I LOVE the use of the head and bones to make a light pan sauce. This can be done with most fish I am sure.

That sounds damn tasty Ric. - specially with a nice side of Brocoli Rabe flash saute'd with a couple those red pepper flakes too.

I was always under the impression that one of the best recipes for these was The (insert bridge name of choice) Pizza with the hook still attached, so you get extra iron in the diet (actually my brother Ed's recipe, LOL!!!)

Hey Rijkaard - are you sure those were scorpion fish you caught - that picture looks like deep water black belly rose fish that we catch in 900 - 1000 feet? How deep were you when you caught them?
