Grouper regulations questions

Post by caprifisher »

I know the size limit for grouper according to the fwc is 20 inches for red grouper ,scamp, yellowfin and yellowmouth ,and 24 for the black Grouper. All the other grouper dont show any size limits .is this correct? Until now every grouper less then 20 inches ,which i catched ,I did throw back ,because I assumed 20 inch is meant for every grouper ,besides the black grouper.I went yesterday night with the Sealegs out and some people catched speckled Hind ,which where really small (maybe 10 inches) and kept them. Even without size limit ,I think they were to small(some grunts I catched were bigger)

If it is not listed it does not have a size limit more than likely.
