A bug is what you may have seen they call them different names.

They are for Goggle eyes you can get at select tackle shops.

Sabbiki it is 3

On the Bugs its pretty dog gone small, don't know the exact size maybe 4 or 6 I don't think they go as small as 10 or 12, talking in gold hook sizes.

This one is chartreuse but they come Silver and I think I got them at Bill Boydes in Fort Lauderdale.

It is similar to a banna Jig but shape is a little different, this jig works on a flutter in mid water or baited dragged on the bottom or across the top.

It works for larger baits ones you can swim out if you get my meaning.

you think the one Tom posted looks like these?

http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/ice-jigs/315417.aspx

though I imagine they don't use saltwater quality hooks in them, so there is a risk of corrosion. any rate, 10 or 20 of those, some powder paint, a heat gun & pliers & should be in business:

http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/powder-paint/381101.aspx

of course there probably are other options, but a few cents worth on my part...

I use #8 Mustad style 34011 stainless steel hooks and wrap them with light gauge solder. Mash the solder lightly with pliers until you get the shape you want. Coat the solder with a thin coat of J-B Weld. When dry, prime it with white spray paint then paint it with whatever color you choose. I've found day glow pink, day glow orange and day glow green all work. Solid white works sometimes too. Finally, mix up some 2-part epoxy and brush it over the paint to keep them shiny and tough.

The stainless hooks will last until a mackerel bites it off.

An alternative is to buy some silver crimp sleeves large enough to pass over the hook eye. Flatten the sleve with pliers to make a tiny spoon. You can add a little hair or feathers if you choose to.

If you have a problem finding these tiny stainless steel hooks, IM me. I have some and will sell them cheap.

Try Cabela's.com Type in ice jigs. We use them in MN through the ice for pan fish.

Get the Gold ones from Marcus if he has any. If they hit anything they hit those first and last before they shut off for the day

I know he has been having computer issues as of late. If you have any questions PM your number and I will call him and give it to him so he can answer them first hand.
