Hello everyone,
Does anyone know what is the best type of rig and bait to use for snook fishing from a pier?

free lining live shrimps or live bait with a jighead or 3/0 circle hook usually works well for me.. if you are lazy you can do a fish finder rig with long leader and drop to bottom hook a live mullet by the anal fin works well too

Sight fishing while free lining is my go to style when going after snook.
If you can find jumbo sized live shrimp, and can plant one relatively close to a patrolling snook, you're almost guaranteed a stirke.
Just be weary of fishing for snook off a pier, they'll run for those pilings the moment you set the hook!
I've never hooked up to a snook when bottom fishing <shrug>.

Yep, Freeline with Floro and as small of a hook as you can get away with. Watch out for the Pier though. Set that drag tight to stop her.
