FORUM BBQ
Date------August 3rd Sunday 10am until 4pm ------------food ready between 11 and 2pm
Location is-- John U. Lloyd Beach State Park 6503 N. Ocean Drive, Dania Beach, Florida 33004 Map Click Here
We will be at the Leatherback Pavillion 1.8 mile in on main road on right side



Park Fees
$6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
$4.00 Single-occupant vehicle or motorcycle.
$2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.


Ok now onto whos doing what and who's coming??

King of the Sea ----Accepted the securing the Location in the park TORCH

Grillers --- BF's Brother Dougy D ---- maybe one more to Help

Recreation Organizer ??? Someone for the raffle and maybe some silly events like egg toss etc.
BF Tommy will bring a sand bag toss game

Ok I am thinking we should maybe do another BBQ.

I like the John Lloyd Park location my reason is because it is between Miami and Palm beach and I think makes it more possible for a better turn out.

If this was to happen I would like the help of 2 to 4 people

one or two people to plan food and grill it best if it is two so one does food and the other does stuff that we need to borrow or use for this like-- chairs, tables tents what ever. We will have some bring cold dishes if they wish "I always love to eat other peoples Favorites dishes" and I will buy what we need Meats, Condiments, Bread, cookies, etc. But I know that many like to chip in and thats cool too so we can have a list like chips and soda and whatever so everyone can contribute that would like to. But I will take care of any and all things not contributed.

one person to organize with me a couple of activitys for the members and the children that come.
I was also thinking of doing a raffle with 3 fishing packages of hooks and so on and all monies would be donated to wounded warriors or something dealing with children like Kids in distress.

Put me down for anything you need Tommy. When I took a shot and went to the first BBQ that GK sponsored I ended up meeting some of the best friends I'm currently hanging with. I'll 'pay that same opportunity forward' to other BF members any day in a New York heartbeat. But we are going to have to do something clever to get Mason's bounce house back in because the officer that got his panties in a bunch the last time is still working the park. Saw the Barney Fife impersonator the other day. But we are still bringing Mason's bounce house.

This is for us and our familys to enjoy some of us know each other only by online and its nice to meet those people for a chance to shake hands and get to know. I have met some genuine members that I would gladly call a friend and more then I had ever thought.
When I made this site I had know idea how many people would use it and it has been consistent over the years at 900 to 1400 people a day and it is cool to meet them so all of you that read quietly your invited and so are your familys as are all the users we know that post.

Look don't be shy come and relax have a bite to eat talk how ever much you want or don't, just enjoy a nice Sunday with other people who enjoy a Passion-Hobby-Sport of Fishing from land we all do have something in common no matter who or where we come from.

The thing about this Forum is it's all about giving back right ........and who benefits more around here than us 'new guys'? So Tommy is the Five Star that designs the plan and we will make it happen. No long time members need apply this time....... Sit back and enjoy forum royalty......new guys are in town.

I would like to point out there even if you've never met anyone on this forum, and you're a lurker, or new, or whatever... there's no reason not to show up. Honestly it's a bunch of guys talking fishing and eating some of the worlds best most famously delicious chicken wings.

I agree w/Tommy we oughta have a raffle as well as donate to a worth cause. We could do the "ultimate tackle box" raffle where you get raffle tickets in exchange for donating an unopened lure, leader spool, pack of circle hooks, headlamp, or any other nice item that is valuable in a tackle box. You can donate up to 3 lures and the winner takes home the entire tackle box. It sort of eliminates planning because the attendees provide the items. Just a thought!
