Wow , I bet that smarts . I got stuck on the back of my hand , in Sept. It got infected and final healed about 2 weeks ago . No matter how careful you are , getting stuck , occasionally , is just part of fishing . Hope your hand gets better soon .

I've never seen an x-ray of an embedded spine and it looks beyond painful. Even worst it looks like it's traveling toward the back of his hand. Hope he has a speedy recovery.

There is a fine line between Love & Hate.Hate is pushing them off a ledge. Loving them means you don't taunt them after you've pushed them off.

Ouch...I had a spine from a yellowtail break off in my leg last year, took about 2 months for it to work itself out, but it did.

:scratch: never told me bout the first one,this one its over an inch long I saw it looks like another finger its trying to grow .

Yeah he gets in to much of a rush while cleaning fish needs to stop looking @ it as a choir n just relax n take it easy

Twice I've had to perform home surgery on my finger for this problem, first time it was actually the spine from a mullet haha and the second a snapper, it was painful had to keep my finger under icey water to help numb it as I cut it open and removed the spines, not fun at all

OK surgery was done today ,a little swollen but ok I told that boy to call me so I could drive his truck its stick shift went by himself .Moral of the story be careful when you clean your fish I know ill b careful lol.
