picked this reel up from a guy brand new and dipped in a raindrop pattern, its pretty cool, i never herd of the reel in a conventional before so i was nervous about getting it... ended up trading a reel for it... i have to say i love it.. took it to the canal at my work and casted a 5 oz bank 100 plus yards with ease... reel smooth reel and has a nice drag... anybody ever use one of these??

I Saw this reel on 360 and thought the pattern was really interesting! That being said, a fellow w handlebar moustauche, on DFP A few years back used to come out w a a pair of em from time to time on custom 10' casting rods - I talked to him about his Cabo conventionals and he said he loved em...I've never casted em but they looked quite solid and well made in that $$ Range. That rainshadow coloring is just cool as hell.

I didn't know about them & believe sometime back Denny posted that about them if i'm not mistaken.

Yup, the one I used was a cabo clw30pt. It had a level wind and looked just like this one...



Great casting reel, smooth drag. The only thing I didn't like about it was the soft clicker.

I had to loop the line around the left side plate to keep it from clicking in light water current or surf.
