Visitor looking for a bit of help....

Hey folks, heading to Singer Island mid Sept. Staying at the Ocean Pointe Marriott, will be throwing flies from the beach for whatever will bite. Can I just head out to the beach and start casting? I have read that I can't fish guarded beaches so I will avoid those, guessing there will be some Snook and Jack's around? Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

Yeah, avoid the guarded beaches. Try to get close to a jetty if you can. Stay out of the water and try fishing right within an hour or two of the high tide. The snook are that close to the shore. Early morning, or dusk are usually the best times.

Thanks, looks like there is a jetty on the north side of the Palm Beach/Lake Worth Inlet, will hit that and the beaches

Try Juno Beach - they have a nice pier, however, off the beach to the north or south is much less crowded. This time of year is a nice time for surf fishing.

Mullet are slowly moving thru, so try a spoon or topwater plug early. Needs to be calm for plug to work properly. Also try xrap lures, mirrodines ( mirrolure), or other lures that mimic bait size around. Has been glass minnows present so flies should mimic them best.
