Blue Crab Shipping

Post by salvadorsanchez »

Gonna get some blue crabs at wife's beachhouse in Mexico Beach and ship to a few guys in areas where they are scare. Looks like I'm gonna have to order my dry ice, no dealers in Albany, not even Super Wal Mart. There will obviously be a few expenses that I need to work out but will make it as reasonable as possible. Anyone need some, provided I catch them, let me know. I'll have to figure out the costs, dry ice ,shipping and some beer money for me. Anyway, just a thought if interested.

All my best

If your sending something persishable with dry ice, to save you money you can usually get away with 2nd day air and it wont melt/evaporate. UPS only allows up to 5 lbs if you are using dry ice and shipping air. I think ground is up to like 10 or 15 I dont remember. If where your shipping is in FL, UPS GROUND will get it there the next day, except for the panhandle is 2 day shipping. Hope that helps.

yeah, hell i LOVE catching them. Need a new hobby anyway and they're so abundant, why not? I'll just keep them in my chest freezer until people need them. Hopefully in 3 weeks I'll get my first batch of them!! Plus you guys have always been so helpful and nice to me! To the guy that posted before, big?? Thanks!! that does help. I'm in south GA and will ship mainly to South FL. So not terribly far

All my best
