Shrimping in the Tampa Bay Area

Post by Spaatz »

I don't know how many people are aware but, you can catch your fill of shrimp without a boat in Tampa Bay during the upcoming shrimping season. It starts in March, peaks in May and ends the first days of July.

The grass flats of Tierra Verde just North of Fort Desoto provide foot-accessible areas to catch shrimp. All you need is the right equipment (a good light, an Ozello Shrimper and a floating bucket) to catch them. We routinely catch gallons of shrimp every night during the shrimp runs and fill our freezers.

Why pay market rate for shrimp imported from Thailand when you can catch your own?

If you want to learn more about how to shrimp this area, check us out on the internet at http://www.ozelloshrimper.com/ or drop me a private message and I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have.
