Cudaman,

Do you have any spoons to go with the knife jigs?

I'll take jigs #1 and #4. They will have the best action. If I don't lose the jigs I can also make a peanut butter sandwich when we get back. Nice work Herbert!

I lost the only spoon I made, but will make more in case I want coffee with that peanut butter sandwich. :biglaugh:

For trolling all you need is a short medium to heavy rod(5 foot to 7 foot). Any small feathers and small squid lures will work for the small blackfins but if you want a bigger fish then bigger trollers and plugs.

I haven't used them yet but have seen some people that have and they have caught many different species. from king fish to groupers. I am saving these for when the kings get annoying. If the water is calm on the 29th I will give them a try and will see if blackfins hit them.

Yes thats my spot! Same boat. after and before pics... Boat looks great. Let the bodies hit the floor!!!
I like 40 to 50# line with billy baits, islanders, or maybe some feathers for tuna trolling.

You are wrong! You see, I did not take the serrated part off so the knife jig will fillet my fish and wash it on the way up to be ready for the sashimi :biglaugh:

Still need that 850H. Maybe me and striz can get it together on the 29th.

Nelson don't give Rick any ideas about the birds. He would love to kill 2 pelicans with one stone.

You all are crazy. I laughed so hard at the knife jigs I spit soda on my desk. This is going to be a fun trip for sure.

Question though if I bring my 7' St Croix with a gosa 4000 would that be enough for dolphin if they show up? Its the only lite spinner I have.

It will be more than enough as long as you don't run into a 40 pounder, with this last few little fronts they should be gone. But there are still reports of people catching them.

Wait till you see the Butter Knife jigs in action, I will send them down with garlic butter, I hear fish love the garlic scent :biglaugh:
