Sea Legs has been out of commission for over 2 months. Now that it’s back the boat is beatiful and running better than ever. Night trips are one of my favorites. We had a cool night. Temperature in the 60's. Flat seas and a south current. We had about 20 fares and the usual stern scum...

Me included in that. The moon almost full with just a slither remaining. Our first spot was at about 60 feet and I started on the bottom with a long leader and a ballyhoo plug. I pulled up a decent Mangrove about 16inches. Jesus who was flating with silversides pulled in a huge 5lb Mangrove. I quickly put away my bottom rig and switched to flat lining. We were pulling in nice Yellowtails and Grovers but the captain decided to move because the stern was the only folks catching fish.
The theme was similar for the rest of the night. Folks on the side where picking at the usual bottom fish. Nice grunts and a huge 4lb Porgy came up as the stern was pulling in the tails and grovers. George pulled in a nice 4.5lb Mangrove and the pickings continued. As the night ended we ended up on a reef ledge in 20 feet of water and pulled in about 100 snappers. A decent night. It’s always fun being out on the Legs for me. Not just because Kenny (the captain) always tries hard to put you on fish, but because the crowd of people are always cool and it’s almost like a social club for me. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.
