well.....

I don't remember if in my mate tip post I mentioned that I went by the boat at noon when she came in from her AM trip, no kings, an assortment of bottom fish, and one nice Grouper ( looked to be around 12 to maybe 15 lbs ) Also was told that there was one or two others but were a bit undersized.

Headed out on the night trip with around a dozen others..... first stop produced several Grover's for the boat ( one around 15 inches and a keeper tail for me ) unfortunately that was the good stop for the night..... Capt worked his spots moving looking for fish....current was funny in a couple of places and one stop we had to leave almost right away as the jelly fish were way to thick.

Some were moaning and groaning about moving so much ....but I look at it like this.... if the capt did not think the next spot would be better he sure would not waste the fuel....
and the hassle of pulling the hook etc. I bet that there would have been fussing if we had stayed in one spot and were not bailing fish too.... :nopity:

After all it is fishing....catching is just the bonus.

As far as I am concerned the Capt and mate were first rate. Boat layout etc was good, would like to see some kind of overhead rack inside for spare rods ( just a couple of aluminum rods with foam on them would be all that is needed). Also would be nice to have some light off the transom/sides to help see the lines a little better

Oh I skipped the pool this time (wanted to give everyone else a chance  ) to have a bigger tip for the mate and Capt since it was my first trip ( you know that first impression thingy... ) and yes my Mangrove would have been the winner LOL

Met several great guys, Randy and Jim in particular.... not sure if they or any of the others are regulars on here but it was good fishing with ya!

I kinda wish my budget would allow trips more often but we will have to pick and choose.
